I just read an article on Thecrimereport.org that may be of interest to you. This article talks about the fact that police officers across the country seem to be using their seatbelts less than the average person, far less. It notes that 139 officers died during a 28 year period after being thrown through the windshield of their car. Moreover, only 45% of the officers that died in crashes during that period were using their belts. This is in contrast to the estimated 84% of overall drivers that do so.
