Northeast Mississippi Community College, Booneville, has initiated a new policy requiring students to keep their student ID’s visible at all times. Students who fail to follow the new policy can be fined $25. Administrators at the school said that the idea was intended as a precautionary measure against non-students being on campus. One student commented that police officers, who will be enforcing the rule, will likely give students warnings before fining them for not showing their ID’s.
