Check out this blog post on Statesman.com. Should a district attorney or judge be removed from office after being arrested and convicted of a DWI? That is the question in a few Texas counties right now. In one case, the DA resigned on his own, out of respect for the office, but years later, is back working for another county. Other lawyers for the state have refused to resign. Although there is a law that allows for removal, it is rarely invoked.
