Interesting article posted on Thebatt.com. The Texas State Senate seems poised to approve a bill that would make the contentious issue of allowing concealed weapons on campus a decision for the schools themselves. If passed, we may see some Texas campuses allow students and faculty who are legally permitted to carry a concealed handgun to do so on campus. An original vote had the bill set to pass with a 39-19 vote, but a motion was passed to provide for the Senate to hear opinions from students and faculty at hearings for the bill before a final vote decides the matter.
