I just read this article on syracuse.com that I wanted to share with you. Eric Hall, a transient who was wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested on March 30, in a hotel room he was hiding out in. When the officer saw all the empty pizza boxes in the room, the authorities were able to identify Hall as a suspect in an ongoing identity theft case. Police in Auburn NY had been on the lookout for a suspect that stole credit card numbers from people as far away as Hawaii and using them for hotel stays and several pizza deliveries. The suspect would be long gone before the credit cards were processed and flagged as stolen. He is in custody at this time but police in Auburn want to remind all business to verify the identity of anyone using a credit card for purchases.
