The state of New Hampshire passed the Voter ID Law, requiring voters to provide an approved photo ID. There will be a phase-in period, between November 1, 2012 and September 1, 2013, where voters without ID’s will be allowed to vote with a “challenged voter affidavit.” Approved ID’s include driver’s license, US Armed Services ID, student ID, or others approved by the supervisors of the checklist, moderator, or clerk. Voters without the required ID’s can contact their local city or town clerk, or their DMV office to get a free voter photo ID, and for more information.
