Check out this blog post on Sacramento.cbslocal.com. Residents of Stockton are happy about the recent crime-fighting news released by the Stockton Police Department. Violent crimes are down and this is being attributed to the new fighting crime techniques that are in use by the department. During the last half of 2012, Stockton police debuted their new community response team, which they said would decrease crime. They were right, and residents couldn’t be happier. June to December of 2012 saw 168 guns taken off the streets and 300 felon arrests. The new crime-fighting team has 22 officers who patrol the streets proactively in their attempt to lower the crime rate.
