The preparedness of hospitals was greatly tested in Boston recently when there were 144 patients injured in the Boston Marathon bombings. Sixty two of them are still at Boston hospitals, including 12 people in critical condition. Officials at hospitals are urged to be prepared and have plans that are tested and ready to implement rather than plans just in writing stored away somewhere in a file.
