Recent hacking incidents have shown that many people choose passwords which are easy to guess and also use the same password on several sites. Recommended obscure passwords are hard to remember. Researchers are investigating biometric markers, such as the way people walk, as new ways to provide identification. The new types being investigated are more along the lines of “something you so” rather than something you are, like a retina scan.
