Interesting article posted on http://www.omaha.com/article/20130119/NEWS/701209921/1694. Crime scene investigators got to show off their work to local teens in Douglas County recently. Some of the teens have already expressed interest in working in law enforcement, and getting to see what crime scene investigators went a long way to helping them make their decision. Bright lights and special filters enabled the teens to find fingerprints on a soda can, and ultraviolet imaging allowed them to find fingerprints without the use of chemicals. Fake blood was also used so the would-be future investigators could see how blood helps crime scene officials understand how the crime took place. The crime scene was specially set-up in the entrance way of the local Sheriff’s office.
