Check out this blog post on Nydailynews.com. A lawsuit being filed by a NYC woman is raising questions about security and accountability. The woman, who was allegedly raped by a delivery boy (who entered her unlocked apartment after a delivery to another resident), is suing the building’s management company (Halstead Property) and condo board, the pizzeria where the alleged rapist worked and the doorman on duty. Halstead Property had previously laid off the building’s night porter (who would usually have accompanied deliveries made to residents), and suspended the doorman after the incident. A petition signed by many of the building’s residents support the doorman’s return to work.
