Here’s an article worth a read posted on Statesman.com. The Texas State legislature has been discussing a variety of gun bills but the recent assault on Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, has brought more interest in passing some of those laws. Governor Rick Perry has advocated legislation that allows school administrators to carry concealed weapons. On the other hand, other state representatives are planning to file bills that restrict access to assault weapons.
