Just read this on Thecrimereport.org. In the US from 2011 to 2012, many people were visiting the emergency room with seizures, cardiac shock, psychotic episodes and other symptoms. Two popular synthetic drugs, “bath salts” and synthetic marijuana, were to blame. Chemists designed these “legal” substances to mimic the effects of illegal drugs. Smoke stores often sold synthetic drugs, labelled as insect repellent or potpourri. New state regulations and vendor crackdowns have slowed the growth of this emerging drug problem, especially in New York.
