Theft has become a major issue on college campuses in the last few years. College students are particularly vulnerable since they live in such close quarters to other students who they don’t know very well. Theft of items such as laptops as well as identity theft is on the rise on college campuses. In order to prevent theft, students should leave all valuables at home, keep a detailed list of all items brought to campus, pay attention to all items at all times, guard financial documents, pay close attention to financial statements, beware of entering online information, and be cautious on public computers.
