From the thedartmouth.com today comes this story which may be a good bench mark for all your security cheifs. When it comes to Dartmouth College, there has been a decrease in liquor and drug-related arrests. Some are attributing this to the Alcohol Diversions Program, which gives underage persons who are caught violating liquor laws the chance to enroll, thus avoiding a citation. Sex offenses have also decreased. Greater efforts have been made to prevent and respond to sexual assault, and the numbers are reflecting this. Additionally, fires have decreased, with eight taking place in 2009 and only 2 taking place in 2010.
