More on the Voter ID debate on blogs.rj.org. In it the writer argues that Voter ID laws, which exist in 10 states, force voters to present their photo IDs at the polls which means that many potential voters who live more than 10 miles away from the nearest state ID-issuing depot are disenfranchised. These laws also create racial and age discrimination and do not allow eligible voters to cast their democratic voting rights. They futher argue that it is of the utmost urgency of the hour that we should begin organizing and mobilizing our communities.
